Our Story
Since 2003, Jarapa has sourced, manufactured, and supplied recycled homewares to retail and trade customers across the UK and Europe. Our journey began at local markets with Spanish rugs, and over the years, we’ve expanded to offer a diverse collection, including recycled glassware, recycled cotton rugs, Spanish ceramics, Moroccan baskets, and recycled glass lamp bases.
We’ve partnered with Spanish factories since 2006 to supply 100% recycled glassware in over 20 colours. Our glassware stands apart—coloured using plant-based, often organic paints—and our main supplier fully complies with the Kyoto Protocol and international treaties aimed at reducing greenhouse gases.

We endeavour to create products using recycled and natural materials through sustainable methods of production. promote local production and fair trade practices, reduce waste, and support artisan livelihoods and communities.
A lower temperature is required to melt recycled glass and therefore a lot of energy is saved, waste going to landfill is drastically reduced and extraction of sand and raw materials is minimised.
We minimise our carbon footprint by only using sea freight and avoid air freight. We are careful to consolidate all shipments of products and we only ever ship full containers.
The glass recycling chain is a perfect circle in which containers are brought back to life an infinite number of times. It is a clear example of sustainability. Every small gesture represents a commitment to the environment.
