At Jarapa, sustainability runs through everything we make, and our hand-poured candles are no exception. Here's what makes an eco-friendly candle different, and why ours have quickly become a customer favourite.
The term "eco-friendly" gets used a lot, so it helps to know what to look for. A genuinely sustainable candle usually comes down to three things: the wax, the vessel and the packaging.

Each of our eco-friendly candles is hand poured right here in the UK using an ethically sourced natural plant wax. They're vegan and plastic free, with a generous 30-hour burn time so you get plenty of cosy evenings from every candle.
The candle sits inside a 350ml textured tumbler made from 100% recycled glass, with the glass itself crafted in Spain. At 10cm tall and 9cm in diameter, it's a reassuringly solid piece that looks as good unlit on a shelf as it does glowing on a windowsill. Because the glass is recycled, each tumbler carries subtle, one-of-a-kind character.

To reuse yours, simply handwash the empty glass with a damp, soft, non-abrasive cloth once the candle is finished.
